A two day long Tareque Masud festival has been started at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy for the third time on Saturday. The Festival is organized by the Tareque Masud Memorial Trust in collaboration with Moviyana Film Society and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. On Sunday March 13 at 6pm, the screening and awards ceremony of the Tareque Masud Young Filmmaker’s competition will be held in the Chitrashala Auditorium of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. This year’s theme is ‘Nay Bichar Amar Odhikar’ (Justice is My Right). Young filmmakers between the ages of 16 and 25 from around the country have submitted their films, the top 10 of which will be screened at the Competition event. The best film will receive the Tareque Masud Young Filmmaker Award and a cash prize. The top six filmmakers will receive scholarships to study filmmaking, three at the Bangladesh Film Institute (BFI) and three at Moviyana Film Society’s film course at Shilpakala.
