86 families to get ‘Kar Bahadur’ award

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has selected 86 families across the country for the award of ‘Kar Bahadur’ this year.

All the eligible members of these 86 families had duly submitted income tax return.

Finance Minister AMA Muhith will hand over the awards to the families at NBR Bhaban in capital Agargaon on Wednesday.

In his 2017-18 FY budget speech, the Finance Minister mentioned that the government had decided to give honourary certificate, titled ‘Kar Bahadur’, to tax friendly families.

The NBR conducted a survey across the country to select the families who submitted income tax return in due time. Sixteen families were selected from Dhaka, eight from Chittagong while the other 62 families were selected from the remaining 62 districts.

The Dhaka families are named of Khaza Tajmahal, ABM Shafiul Alam, Latifur Rahman, Syed Hasan Imam, Kutub Uddin Ahmed, Abdus Salam Murshedi, Abdul Kader Mollah, Hazi Kaus Mia, Syed Abul Hossain, Abdul Haque, Syed Nurul Islam, Ahmed Akbar Sobahan, AKM Rahmatulla, Abdul Matlub Ahmed and two others.

The Chittagong families are- Ali Hossain Akbar Ali, Abul Hashem, AKM Shamsuddin Khan, Farid Ahmed, Zohair Ali, Nurul Islam BSc, M Jalal Uddin Chowdhury, Nur Nahar Jaman.

Besides, families of Jasim Uddin Masum from Narayanganj, Mujibur Rahman from Munshiganj, Syed Sohel Imam from Manikganj, Professor Abdul Bari from Gazipur, Jugopod Shaha from Tangail, Manju Mia from Narsingdi, Abdur Rashid from Mymensingh, Bhashkar Kumar Dutta from Kishoreganj, Jaynal Abedin from Sherpur, Pijush Kanti Bhoumik from Netrokona, Mirza Azam from Jamal, Rabindranath Saha from Faridpur, Zillul Hakim from Rajbari, Shawkat Ali from Gopalganj, Shahjahan Khan from Madaripur, Moniruzzaman from Shariatpur, M.
