Sylhet Sixers continued on with their winning spree as they beat Comilla Victorians by four wickets on the second day of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 cricket match played on Sunday at Sylhet Stadium.
This is their second victory in this season as the host team defeated Dhaka Dynamites by 9 wickets in the first match played on Saturday.
Comilla Victorians captain Mohammad Nabi decided to bowl first after winning the toss in Sunday’s first match in Sylhet.
MN Samuels’ 60 runs from 47 balls helped Comilla to post 145 for 6. Alok Kapali and Liton Das scored 26 and 21 runs respectively.
In reply, Sylhet Sixers scored 148 for 6 in 19.5 overs. Opener Tharanga and Fletcher scored 51 and 36 runs respectively. Though their opening stand made 73 runs, other batsmen failed to keep themselves on pitch.
However, Nurul Hasan snatched the victory in the final over as he scored 11 runs from 3 balls with a six and a four.
