A police constable was killed as a truck hit his motorbike in front of Sajahanpur upazila parishad of the district this morning.
The victim was identified as Belal Hossain, 40, a constable of Sherpur Thana, according to a news agency.
Officer-in-charge of Sherpur Thana Bulbul Islam said the accident occurred on the Dhaka-Bogra highway of the area at about 8.30 am when a truck hit the bike from opposite direction, leaving the bike rider Belal dead on the spot.
