Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza won the toss and elected to bat first against South Africa in their first one day international (ODI) of the three-match series at the Diamond Oval in Kimberley on Sunday.
The match began at 2pm (Bangladesh Standard Time).
Earlier, Bangladesh lost the two Tests against the hosts and will be facing more heat as they will have to contend with an even more potent South African side strengthened by the inclusion of AB de Villiers.
The return of Bangladesh’s premier all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will certainly boost their moral.
