2 cases filed over attack on Sajeda’s motorcade

Two cases have been filed in connection with an attack on the motorcade of deputy leader of parliament Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury during a factional clash of Awami League in Talma Bazar area of Nagarkanda upazila in Faridpur.

Sub Inspector of Nagarkanda Thana Humayun Kabir filed a case accusing 13 persons and Aymon Akbar Chowhury, son of Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury and president of Nagarkanda Upazila Awami League, filed another case on Friday night.

According to source, the motorcade of Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury came under attack allegedly by supporters of an Awami League leader on Dhaka-Khulna highway in the area.

Sajeda, also an AL presidium member, however, was unhurt in the attack that happened around 2:30pm.
