10 held over DU admission test fraud

The Dhaka University authorities detained 10 applicants over fraudulent activities during ‘Ka’ unit admission test of first year honors for the academic session 2017-18.Of them, Nur Alam and Al Imran, who were arrested from business faculty centre, were produced before a mobile court and were sentenced to 15-day imprisonment for each.The admission test was held at 87 centers in and outside of the university campus from 10 am to 11.30 am on Friday.A total of 89,506 candidates appeared at the admission test under the unit of the university this year against 1,765 seats, according to a press release issued by the university.
