Rain delays start of second day’s play

Rain delayed the start of second day’s play of the second and final Test match between Bangladesh and South Africa in Bloemfontein on Saturday.

By the end of the first day on Friday, South Africa posted 428 losing only three wickets in their first innings after getting to bat first.

No 3 batter Hashim Amla and skipper Faf du Plessis were unbeaten at the crease with 89 and 62 under their belt respectively.

The two openers Dean Elgar and Aiden Markram gave a solid start to the Proteas as the duo reached 100 run mark before departure.

Elgar scored 113 off 152 while Markram made 143 off 186.

Bangladesh pacmen Subashis Roy picked two wickets while Rubel Hossain claimed one.
