With a view to holding the spirit of liberation war and independence, the electronic version of the forthcoming print edition of the Daily Jago Bangla was launched at its office in the city on Wednesday with the web address: www.jagobangla.com
Chowdhury Kamruzzaman, Publisher of the daily, launched the web edition at 4pm.
Speaking on the occasion, Chowdhury Kamruzzamn said: “We dream of a positive Bangladesh. We’ll highlight the country positively through this daily. We’ll publish news reports from an objective point of view.”
“I call upon all the newspersons of Jago Bangla to publish positive news of Bangladesh,” he made the plea.
Shujan Mahmud, Editor of the newspaper, said: “Only media can bring the positive changes in the society. The daily will work for society’s welfare.”
Mohiuddin Sarkar, Chief News Editor of the Jago News, said: “This daily will work for the overall development of the country with an objective angle.”
Managing Director KM Zeaul Haque, Chief Reporter Moniruzzaman Uzzal, Assistant Editor Dr Harunur Rashid, Feature Editor Ariful Islam Arman and other employees of the institution were also present at the programme.
