Jago News reach quarter-final in media cup football

Country’s leading news portal Jagonews24.com reached quarter-final spot after thrashing Channel i 4-3 in Kool-BSJA Media Cup football tournament at the Artificial Turf of Bangladesh Football Federation in Motijheel on Tuesday.

Shafiq Kalim scored three goals while Chief Reporter Moniruzzaman Uzzal netted one goal for Jago News.

Kalim won the man of the match award for his outstanding display.

A total of 24 media houses, splitting into eight groups, are taking part in the six-a-side tournament.

The quarter-final stage will be held on Thursday.

The semi-final and the final match will be played on the same day on Friday.

Participants media houses are: Channel I, ATN Bangla, BanglaVision, Daily Samakal, The Independent, Jamuna TV, Somoy TV, Daily Sangbad, Maasranga Television, Daily Bangladesh Pratidin, Channel 24, News 24, The Daily Star, Daily Naya Diganta, GTV, Daily Jugantar, Daily Janakantha, Baishakhi Television, Daily Kaler Kantha, Daily Amader Somoy, JagoNews24, BSS and Dhaka Tribune.
