A dog was allegedly sexually assaulted by a man with the incident coming to light after a video of the act surfaced on WhatsApp, an animal rights organisation claimed on Thursday, India Today reports. Humane Society InternationalIndia, in a release here, said it would offer a reward of up to Rs 100000 for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the assault. ‘It is believed that it occurred in the state of Kerala since the perpetrators were talking in Malayalam,’ the release said.The society has complained to the state DGP seeking a probe. HSI said the two-minute video widely circulated on WhatsApp shows a helpless dog being forcefully held and raped. ‘These incidents expose the violent nature of human beings and it’s high time we arrest such actions,’ said N G Jayasimha, MD of HSI, India.
