The Supreme Court has imposed a stay on a bail order issued by the High Court for AHM Kibria, a convict in the Bishwajit Das murder case.A five-member Appellate Division bench headed by Chief Justice SK Sinha passed the order on Thursday morning.The High Court had granted bail to Kibria in the case on February 3.Bishwajit Das, proprietor of Amantron Tailors at Shakhari Bazar in the capital, was hacked to death allegedly by Bangladesh Chhatra League activists of Jagannath University unit during the opposition’s countrywide road blockade programme on December 9, 2012.
