“Great Online Shopping Festival-2017” begins in the city tomorrow aiming to provide effective ideas regarding future Digital Bangladesh.Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed will open the three-day festival at Krishibid Institute, Farmgate. Arshinagar Media and Dhaka University Alumni News are jointly organising the event for the first time. ICT Division will extend overall cooperation, said a media release on Monday.Online-based 60 companies will display their products in the event which will consist of Gaming Zone, Experience Zone, Branding Bangladesh Zone and Cultural Programme.A number of seminars are also to be held during the festival. Experts from country’s different IT and online-based companies will attend the event.Nitol-Niloy is the title sponsor of the festival and 71 Television is the media partner.Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed in a message wished all success of The “Great Online Shopping Festival-2017”.“I am happy to know that Arshinagar Media and Dhaka University Alumni News are organising the event for the first time,” he said, adding the festival is a platform to showcase the country’s progress in online shopping and e-commerce as the path to the future.He thanked the organisers to arrange such a unique event in Bangladesh and country’s leading online shops and e-commerce will be able showcase their services in the event that will enhance the digital movements of Bangladesh.
