'Sheikh Mujib Amar Pita', a book written by Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina, would be published in three languages, reports BSS.
"Initiatives have been taken to publish the book in English, Hindi and German languages ....the English edition of the book will be published by the Agami Prokashani," said Osman Gani, publisher and owner of Agami Prokashani.
The Hindi edition of the book would be published by a publishing organization in Kolkata and a German-based publishing house will publish its German edition, he said.
The English-edition would be published in the next book fair, Gani said, adding that the English translation of the book is going on. The translation work of the book into Hindi and German are under process.
The bangla edition of the book was first published in 1999 at Kolkata book fair. The book fair was then inaugurated by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
"A Kolkata-based Publishing house Sahityam published the book in the fair. The Bangladesh edition of the book was first published at the Amar Ekushey Book Fair in February, 2015. A total of seven editions of the book so far were published and the latest edition of the book was published in the book fair in 2017.
The cover of the 114 pages book was designed by artist Shahabuddin Ahmed. The book contains five chapters -the introduction and preamble in the first chapter of the book was written by Dr Rafiqul Islam and Parth Gosh respectively.
Sheikh Mujib Amar Pita, a composition of 10 selected articles compiled by Sheikh Hasina in different times, said Dr Rafiqul Islam in the introduction of the book. The Bengali peoples irrespective of local and abroad would know different aspects in this book, Dr Rafiqul Islam added.
Sheikh Mujib Amar Pita, also a memoir and a short autobiographical writings of Sheikh Hasina which contains many untold spheres of Bangabandhu's life and the history of struggle of the leader Sheikh Hasina.
