‘Test cricket is thriving’

The ever improving Bangladesh created history as they beat Australia by 20 runs to go 1-0 up in the 2-Test series. Chasing 265, the visitors looked well set after opener David Warner's blistering 112, but his dismissal led to a meltdown - the visitors losing 8 for 86 as they were bowled out for 244, despite Pat Cummins's fighting unbeaten 33.

The victory was achieved in front of a boisterous home crowd and in the presence of Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina, as Rahim led his team to just their 10th Test win in 101 Tests. It wasn't surprising that the Twitteretti went trending as the Tigers celebrated the historic moment, their first Test win against Australia.
