The High Court has ordered the government to confiscate all the property of Canadian oil and gas company Niko Resources.
The court also declared two agreements that Niko signed with Bangladesh Petroleum Exploration & Production Company Limited (BAPEX) illegal.
The bench of Justice Naima Haider and Justice Abu Taher Md Saifur Rahman passed the order after hearing a writ petition on Thursday.
