The country’s twin-bourse witnessed negative trend in early hour of trading on Monday, the second sessions of the week. DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), dropped 6.69 points or 0.13 per cent to slide to 4,779.79, after the first 30 minutes of trade, when the report was filed at 11am. The two other indices of the country’s premier bourse also saw downtrend. The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, shed 4.44 points or 0.23 per cent to 1,872.46. The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) slid 2.80 points or 0.23 per cent to stand at 1,183.99. DSE turnover stood at Tk878 million when the report was filed. Of the issues traded till then, 105 advanced, 104 declined and 41 remained unchanged. Lafarge Surma Cement was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk92 million changing hands followed by SPCL, Olympic Accessories, RAK Ceramics and Peoples Leasing and Financial Services Ltd. The port city bourse – CSE – also saw negative trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index – CSCX – losing 19.62 points to 8,912.16, also at 11am.
