Islamic University (IU) here declared a 10-day vacation from August 26 on the occasion of the holy Eid-Ul-Azha and death anniversary of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam.
The official activities of all departments and administrative offices will remain closed till September 6, registrar office officials said today, BSS reported.
The academic and administrative activities will resume on September 9, they added.
Besides, the authorities of provosts' council have asked the residential students of the university to leave the halls by August 24 at 9am.
The residential halls will be opened for the students on September 9 at 9am, said Professor Dr Mizanur Rahman, president of provosts' council.
