A defamation case was filed against the Daily Stat Editor Mahfuz Anam in Laxmipur on Tuesday.The district Chhatra League President Chowdhury Mahmudunnabi Sohel lodged the libel case worth Tk. 50 crore in Laxmipur Chief Judicial Magistrate Court.The plaintiff’s lawyer Rasel Mahmud Manna said Mahfuz Anam tarnish the images of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina publishing fabricated news in his newspaper. For this he was sued.
