Rail and road communications between Dinajpur and other parts of the country snapped as the whole area went under water due to flood triggered by heavy rains.
Already, flash floods claimed lives of 15 people, including eight children, in four upazilas of the district.
Train services of Dinajpur remained suspended as rail tracks went under water since Sunday, said Dinajpur Station Master Monju.
Dinajpur Deputy Commissioner Mir Khairul Alam told Jagonews24.com that, the flood situation is being monitored continuously. Meanwhile, the members of army and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have started the rescue operation.
