Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong & Sylhet divisions with heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country.
Rain may continue for three more days, a Met Office weather bulletin said on Saturday.
The Met office has asked the internal river authorities to hoist cautionary signal number one.
A total of 43 millimeters of rainfall was recorded in the capital in last 24 hours until 6am today.
Apart from, 9mm rainwater has been recorded from 6am to 9am on the day.
Besides, a highest rainfall of 332mm was recorded in Tetulia of Rangpur followed by 109mm in Tangail, 100mm in Mymensingh, 123mm in Netrokona, 176 in Sitakunda, 259 in Rangamati, 117 in Sylhet, 134 in Badalgachi of Rajshahi, 156 in Rangpur, 154 in Dinajpur, 214 in Dimla and 168 in Syedpur.
