The knot centering transporting of hajj pilgrims, due to slow pace of visa processing, is getting loosen as no hajj flight was cancelled today.“The situation is improving, as no hajj flight was cancelled today,” Biman’s spokesperson General Manager (public relations) Shakil Meraj told BSS.However, Meraj said Biman rescheduled one hajj flight today out of its six flights due to lack of pilgrims.“We will declare the fresh departure time of that flight soon and it will fly within 48 hours,” he said.Biman will operate five hajj flights tomorrow and till now there is no cancelation, he said.This year’s hajj flight from Chittagong will also start tonight. “The first Biman’s hajj flight from Chittagong will leave Shah Amanat International Airport carrying 419 pilgrims at 11.45 pm tonight,” Meraj said.Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon will inaugurate the flight from Chittagong.The national flag carrier will operate 15 dedicated hajj flights from Chittagong this year, Biman sources said.
