The US-Bangla Airlines, one of the country’s private carrier, will start direct flight to Doha, capital of Qatar, from 1st October next as its seventh international destination.Initially Four flights will be operated for Doha from Dhaka and Chittagong on every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and return from Doha to Dhaka and Chittagong as same day, reports BSS.This was revealed today at a press conference at a city hotel addressed by the airlines CEO Asif Imarn, Deputy Director Marketing and Sales Sohail Majid and Deputy General Manager Kamrul Islam.The minimum fare for Dhaka to Doha flight has been fixed initially one way fare for BDT 24,385 and with return, BDT 40,264 and Chittagong to Doha has been fixed one way fare BDT 25, 353 and return BDT 41, 233 inclusive of all taxes and surcharges.The airlines will operate the new route with 164-seater Boeing 737-800 aircraft.Currently the airlines operates international flights to Muscat, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok, Kathmandu and Kolkata with Boeing 737- 800 Aircraft.US-Bangla has planned to expand its international operation to Guangzhou, Hongkong, Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Abu Dhabi, Chennai and Delhi in near future, officials said.Currently US-Bangla Airlines owns six aircraft in its fleet out of which, three are Boeing 737-800 and three are Dash8- Q400. Another two Boeing 737-800 aircraft and one DASH8-Q400 will be added in the fleet by next month.
