Sabbir labels Dhoni as a ‘world legend’

Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been a phenomenal cricketer over the years and has a staggering fan base. While some people bow down to him for his abilities as a cricketer, other drool over his calmness and style on the cricket pitch. His supporters are not only restricted to the ordinary crowd but cricketers all around the world often claim to be a follower of MS Dhoni.

The latest addition to the list is Bangladesh power hitter Sabbir Rahman. Rahman recently met Mahendra Singh Dhoni and took a selfie with the iconic wicketkeeper-batsman.

Rahman, who is pretty active on social media posted the picture on his Facebook page for his fans to get a glimpse of the moment. He paired the picture with a caption where he termed Dhoni as a ‘World Legend’ which is nothing but true. Sabbir wrote, “With world legend MS7”. For those of you do not know, 7 is the jersey number of Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Bangladesh ODI captain Mashrafe Mortaza recently spoke about his relationship with the Indian cricketers.

According to Mortaza, the players of the two teams share a friendly bond between themselves. He mentioned that Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh is his best friend while some other Members of the team get along very well with Virat Kohli. Mortaza also said that the players sledge on the field sometimes but it is always kept within limits.

Mortaza also pointed out that the Bangladeshi players had a chat with their Indian counterparts after their semi final clash in the ICC Champions Trophy at Birmingham. Mortaza was awarded the ‘Shera Bangali’ award by ABP Anondo, a media powerhouse which has its roots in Kolkata.

“We have a very good relation with the Indian players. We even chatted with them after the last match between us in Birmingham. Yuvraj is still a very good friend of mine. We do sledging in the field but that doesn’t exceed the bar.” said Mortaza.
