Major (retd) Ziauddin Ahmed, a sub-sector commander during Bangladesh's Liberation War, died at a Singapore hospital today at the age of 67.
"He (Ziaudddin) breathed his last at Singapore General Hospital this morning," his brother Kamal Uddin Ahmed told BSS.
He left behind wife, two sons, two daughters and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
