Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed on Wednesday said, the Trade and Investment Cooperation Forum Agreement (Ticfa) would not be effective till the re-establishment of Generalized System of Preference (GSP) from the United States.The minister said this in reply to supplementary question of MP AKM Shamim Osman in the parliamentary.He said, we fulfilled all terms and condition set by the US for the development of garments industry. What will we do more?’The US is not giving the opportunity though it acknowledged that Bangladesh has fulfilled all terms and condition. Now it may become a political reason, he added.
