In connection with the Rana Plaza tragedy, Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Monday submitted separate charge-sheets against 42 people, including Rana Plaza owner Sohel Rana. They were charged in two cases filed after the factory collapse incident that left over 1,130 killed. CID senior ASP Bijoy Krishna Kar submitted the charge-sheet with the court of Dhaka Chief Judicial Magistrate. A total of 41 people were shown accused in murder case and 594 were shown prosecution witnesses. On the other hand, 18 men were shown accused of another case and 130 were witnesses in the case. At least 1,130 died, most of them workers of five garment factories, when Rana Plaza collapsed on Apr 24, 2013.SRJ
