Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-4 cordoned off a suspected militant hideout at Ashulia of Savar upazila in Dhaka since the early hours of Sunday.
More militants may hole up inside the house, said the RAB Media Wing Director Mufti Mahmud Khan, adding, “We are repeatedly requesting them to surrender.”
Sensing the presence of the elite force, “militants fired gunshots” from inside the house, said the RAB official.
One Azad rented the house introducing him as a garment worker, he added.
