The appeal of Syeda Iqbal Mand Banu, mother-in-law of BNP Vice-Chairman Tareque Zia, for abrogation of charges brought by the Anti-Corruption Commission(ACC) has been rejected by the High Court Division of the Supreme Court.Khurshid Alam Khan, the lawyer for the ACC said, it clear the way for legal proceedings against her.A Division Bench of the High Court comprising Justices Enayetur Rahim and Amir Hossain ruled on Tuesday.Tareque`s mother-in-law was represented by her Senior Lawyer A J Mohammad Ali, Barristers A M Mahbub Uddin Khokon and Ragib Rauf Chowdhury.
