Dani Alves joins Paris Saint-Germain

Decorated right-back and Brazil international Dani Alves has joined six-time French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain from Juventus on a two-year contract.

The Parisian club are bolstering their ranks after finishing runners-up last season, having won the league four seasons in a row prior to that.

The signing of Dani Alves means head coach Unai Emery will have an experienced full-back, who has won trophies throughout his career for both club and country.

Dani Alves is a three-time FIFA Club World Cup winner with Barcelona, as well as a two-time FIFA Confederations Cup and FIFA U-20 World Cup winner with Brazil.

"There's a very interesting project in Paris," the 34-year-old Dani Alves said at his introductory press conference. "I have friends here, I'm a man who loves challenges. I've had the pleasure of winning the Champions League three times and I want to bring my experience here."

"I thank Maxwell for convincing me to come to Paris. I am ready to give my all. This was the third year that my name was linked to PSG. The third time was the charm!"

Dani Alves will wear the No32 jersey, formerly worn by Brazilian compatriot David Luiz. Alves joins fellow Brazilians Marquinhos, Thiago Silva and Lucas Moura at the club.
