The High Court (HC) on Sunday issued a rule asking authorities concerned to reply in three weeks as to why it shall not direct to give appropriate compensation to Chikungunya patients, reports BSS.A High Court division bench comprising Justice Syed Muhammad Dastagir Husain and Justice Md Ataur Rahman Khan passed the order after a hearing on a writ filed in this regard.The court asked mayors and chief executive officers of Dhaka North and South City Corporations, health secretary and local government secretary to submit their explanations within the stipulated time.The court also asked why it shall not direct them to kill mosquitoes by spraying appropriate insecticide, cleaning the dumping stations of two city corporations of Dhaka and other Chikungunya infested areas across the country.
