Finance Minister AMA Muhith today urged all concerned quarters, including the businessmen, to provide all sorts of supports to the expatriate Bangladeshis for increasing their participation in the country`s development.“Expatriate Bangladeshis want to invest in the country. If we can increase investment from expatriate, it will expedite development of the country,” he said while exchanging views with businessmen at the Sylhet Chamber auditorium.The finance minister hoped that Sylhet Chamber will provide all kinds of supports to the investors saying there are lots of potentialities in Sylhet for investment as it is well connected with Indian seven sister states including Meghalaya. “But expected level of investment is yet to come”, he added.He said eagerness and spontaneity of Sylhet business community for setting up a special economic zone in the region will play a vital role to increase investment in the area.Muhith also informed the business community that the government would set up a labour court in the city like Chittagong.Sylhet Chamber President Khandaker Shiper Ahmed presided over the meeting.Terming the present government as business-friendly, Shiper Ahmed thanked the finance minister for the national budget 2017-18.Among others, lawmaker Mahmud Us Samad Chowdhury and former Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the United Nations and Ambassador Dr. A.K.
