Banani rape case lone accused Bahauddin Evan confessed that his involvement in the crime during primary investigation, said Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Friday.
Mufti Mahmud Khan, director of legal media of the elite force, claimed this at a press conference.
Earlier, RAB arrested Evan from his one relative’s house at Chasharha in Naraynganj on Thursday after noon. Evan’s family source claimed that his father assisted the law enforcing agency to arrest him.
In the case filed with Banani Police Station on Wednesday night, the 21-year-old college girl said Ivan allegedly called her on Tuesday to his Banani house on Road-2 and raped her.
