Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has arrested Mebub Chowdhury, the chief Executive Officer (CEO) of mobile-phone operator Citycell, on charge of embezzling over Tk 383 crore.He was arrested at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday afternoon, confirmed Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya, deputy director of ACC Public Relation Department.ACC deputy director Sheikh Abdus Salam on last Wednesday filed a case with Banani Model Police Station against 16 people including the former foreign minister and chairman of Pacific Bangladesh Telecom Limited (PBTL) M Morshed Khan and the CEO Mehbub Chowdhury.The allegation brought against them is that they have embezzled Tk 383 crore 22 lakh and 363 of AB bank.
