Five people including two members of a family were killed by separate lightning strikes in three upazilas of Faridpur on Monday noon.
In Saltha upazila, mother-son including one farmer was died after lightning struck them this noon.
The deceased were identified as Helena Begum, his son Helal and Md. Milan, all of them are hailing from Vabukdia village.
In Charvodrason upazila, Sheikh Adel, 45, hailing from Kushtia, has been killed while he along with two farmers were working in the field at Chomir Baparir Dangi area under Charhorirampur union. The two farmers were sustained severe injury at that time. They are now undergoing treatment at Charvodrason Hospital.
In Sadar upazila, a day labour was killed and another injured at Kheya Ghat area after thunderbolt struck him in the area on Monday noon.
The deceased was identified as Md. Omor Faruk, 43, hailing from Natore.
