Three members of a family including a nine-year-old girl were killed from electrocution following a transformer blast at their Lalbagh house in Dhaka on Monday morning.
The victims are: Sharmin Shirin, her daughter Afrin, 9, and mother-in-law, Amena Begum.
Confirming the matter to the Jagonews24.com, Sub-Inspector Bacchu Mia, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police camp, said following a transformer blast, the trio came in contact with a snapped electric cable on the first floor of a tin-shed house in Islambagh area.
Later the local people recovered them and sent to DMCH where the doctors declared them dead, he added.
