Opener Rohit Sharma and skipper Virat Kohli are slowly taking India towards the target in the all important semi final being played at Edgbaston, Birmingham on Thursday.
Rohit scored unbeaten 102 off 111 while Kholi made 64 from 53.
India were 212 for 1 in 33 overs for a short while.
Earlier, Bangladesh set 265 runs target for India.
