Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed condolences at the loss of lives in devastating landslides in the southeastern hill districts of Rangamati, Khagrachari and Bandarban on Wednesday.The Russian President in messages of condolence to President Md. Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday conveyed sympathy and support to the bereaved families and wished early recovery of those injured in the natural disaster.“Please, accept sincere condolences over numerous casualties and large-scale devastations caused by floods and landslides in the south-eastern areas of your country,” the letter read.Over 150 people including five army personnel were killed as torrential rains overnight triggered a series of landslides in southeastern hills.Source: BSS
