At least 50 people were killed in separate incidents of landslides after heavy rain in three districts since Monday night to Tuesday noon.
Among them, thirty were from Rangamati, eight in Bandarban and twelve in Chittagong.
The death toll might be increased.
Our Rangamati correspondent said, landslides took place in Rangabali, Vedvedi, Shimultoli and Maniktoli and killed thirty people in the district.
Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Of them, 11 bodies were sent to Rangamati Sadar Hospital. Monkaching Marma, resident doctor of the hospital, confirmed the matter to Jagonews24.com.
Our Bandarban correspondent added, eight people were killed in landslides in different parts of the district.
Swapan Kumar Gosh, official of Bandarban Fire Brigade, confirmed the matter to the Jagonews24.com.
Apart from local media of Chittagong reported, twelve people were killed at Chandanaish Upazila in the district.
