Bangladesh batsman Mahmudullah Riyad smashed a brilliant century in their must win game against New Zealand in the ICC Champions Trophy at Sophia Gardens in Cradiff on Friday.
He had hit two consecutive centuries in the last ICC World Cup, jointly organized by Australia and New Zealand in 2015. Riyad struck an unbeaten classy 128 runs against the Kiwis during that prestigious tournament.
After that, he can’t go through it. At last Mahmudullah touched a three digit score against Blackcaps in a crucial match.
Riyad made a tremendous stand of more than 200 runs with Shakib Al Hasan when the Tigers lost their four wickets very early.
However, he reached his personal landmark from 107 balls with 8 fours and two sixes.
Mahmudullah came to the crease while Mushfique back to the pavilion. Bangladesh needed a big partnership to save their hope during that time. He along with Shakib Al Hasan exactly did that and gave Bangladesh a memorable victory.
