A Dhaka court today indicted 10 operatives of the banned militant outfit Jama`atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) in a case filed in connection with carrying out bomb blasts in front of Hossaini Dalan in the old city.
Metropolitan Sessions Judge Kamrul Hossain Mollah passed the order and fixed June 15 for initiating trial in the case, reports BSS.
Of the accused, six are now in jail and four others are on bail. The accused claimed them innocent while the charges were read out to them.
A gang of militant carried out the bomb blasts in front of Hossaini Dalan around 1:30am on October 23, 2015 when Shia community people were gathering at the building to bring out traditional Tajia procession marking the holy Ashura.
One person was killed and about dozen others were injured in the attacks.
