The body of MA Aziz, acting president of Dhaka City Awami League was buried at Azimpur graveyard on Saturday night after his second Namaj-e-Janaza at Alia Madrasha ground after Esha prayers.The first Namaj-e-Janaza of the late AL leader was held in front of party central office at Bangabandhu Avenue after Magreb prayers.Awami League general secretary Syed Ashraful Islam, Dhaka City AL general secretary Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya (Bir Bikram), Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, AL leader Saber Hossain Chowdhury, Dhaka University vice-chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique, Food Minister Advocate Quamrul Islam, Dhaka South City Corporation mayor Sayeed Khokon, AL labour affairs Habibur Rahman Siraj, Barrister Fazle Noor Tapas, MP, Haji Md Selim, MP, Dhaka City AL organising secretary Shahe Alam Murad and Awami Juba League chairman Omar Faruque Chowdhury, among others, attended the Namaj-e-Janaza.After his Namaj-e-Janaza, leaders of different parties and organisations placed wreaths on his coffin paying deep homage to the late AL leader.MA Aziz breathed his last due to a cardiac arrest while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital at 1 pm today at the age of 68.
