Five persons were killed including a woman and ten others injured in a boiler explosion at a tire factory named Smart Metal & Chemical Industry Limited around 4:30pm on Saturday at Pubail in Gazipur city corporation area.The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.Two fire-fighting units of Gazipur rushed in and doused the fire around 5:30pm.Among the victims, one is Jaibunnesa Khatun, a teacher of Baroibari Government Primary School, while the identity of other deceased could not be known immediately.Other victims are workers of the factory.The injured were taken to different local hospitals, including Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmdd Medical College Hospital.
