Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (Bajus) on Thursday announced that they would go on a strike for indefinite period demanding gold import policy.The strike will begin from Friday, the association’s spokesperson Md. Khurshid Alam told Jago News on Thursday.The announcement came after the Customs Intelligence conducted raids on five stores of Apan Jewellers over an allegation of smuggling.Khurshid Alam said that the strike would continue until the government stop the vexation and make a gold import policy.
