The cost of the Moghbazar-Mouchak flyover project hiked again. The new estimated cost of the project rose up to 12.19 billion, which was estimated at Tk 7.72 billion.The approval came at the Executive Committee of National Economic Council meeting chaired by the prime minister on Tuesday.Sources said, a total of 10 projects were approved with an overall estimated cost of Tk 4,830.92 crore. Of the total project cost Tk 776.17 crore will come from project assistance and the rest will come by public fund (GoB).After the meeting planning minister AHM Mustafa Kamal said, the project has been revised to cover more areas so that the city dwellers could avail themselves of maximum advantages from the flyover.The project`s cost and deadline were increased because of huge presence of pipelines of different utility services, including electric lines, gas pipelines, water pipe lines, storm waterlines, sewerage lines, BTCL cables and fiber optic cables, he added.
