At least two dacoits were killed in what police say infighting at the Piarpur area of Munsibazar bypass road in Faridpur in the wee hours of Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Pavel, 28, son of Abdul Karim of Wireless Para and Sabuj, 25, son of Ashraf Uddin of Dakkhin Goalchamot in the district.
A pistol has been recovered from their possession. Their bodies were sent to Faridpur Medical College and Hospital.
Confirming the matter to the Jagonews24.com, Jamal Pasha, Additional Superintendent of Police of Faridpuir, said that, two groups of dacoits locked into a gunfight over establishing supremacy in the area.
Later police recovered two dead bodies from the spot, he added.
