Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has banned Lalmatia club and Fearfighters for life following an incident -92 runs in 4 balls - at a second division match.
Two more players- Shujan Mahmud and Tasnim- have also been suspended for ten years. In addition, BCB authority has suspended the umpires of that match for six months each for poor umpiring.
Sheikh Sohel, Chairman of BCB’s disciplinary committee and also a member of probe committee said on Tuesday that: “It’s an exemplary punishment for those people, who had tried to destroy our cricket.”
He, however, informed that the captain and coaches of the two teams have also been suspended for five years.
Meanwhile, Adnan Rahman, secretary of Lalmatia cricket, has been suspended for five years from all activities of cricket by BCB.
