Former British Prime Minister David Cameron arrived in Dhaka on Wednesday night on a very brief visit to Bangladesh.
Cameron, who is the chair of IGC`s Commission of State Fragility, growth and Development, reached Hazrat Shahjalal International Aiport around 11.05pm.
During his less than 24-hour maiden visit, the former British prime minister paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina this morning at the latter`s official residence Ganobhaban.
He will also join a roundtable discussion of International Growth Centre (IGC), a UK-based organization working in promoting sustainable growth in developing countries by providing demand-led policy advice based on frontier research later today.
Cameron, who was the British prime minister from 2010-2016, will also pay a visit to a DFID-funded project and a garment factory here.
He is currently holding the post of chairman of Fragility Commission that introduced the International Growth Centre (IGC).
