Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Friday expressed deep shock at the death of valiant freedom fighter and eminent singer-composer Lucky Akhand.
In a condolence message, the prime minister recalled the contribution of Lucky Akhand to the field of music and the Liberation War.
Sheikh Hasina prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
The 61-year-old singer breathed his last at Sir Salimullah Medical College and Mitford Hospital here this evening.
