The Union Parishad (UP) elections will be held in 600 Union Parisad’s across the country in March, 2015.The Election Commissioner Mohammad Shah Newaz informed this to journalist.He said, the schedule for the elections is likely to be announced in mid-February.The party symbols will be used for the Chairman post while the Councilors will vie in non-partisan manner.Bangladesh has more than 4000 Union Parishads that look after local developments. Tenure of the elected representatives in most of the UPs will be expired this year.
